Ingredients
Scale
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 lb shrimp
2 tbsp butter
8 oz anger hair pasta
a few dashes of hot sauce
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 C. white wine or chicken stock
3/4 C. parmesan cheese
Parsley to taste
a splash of cream
Instructions
- Set water to boiling in a medium-size pot.
- Heat a large pan on medium heat. Add butter and chopped onions. Once onions are translucent, add garlic.
- Add deveined shrimp to the pan. They will cook very quickly.
- Once the shrimps are all pink, add wine or chicken stock to the pan. Simmer until the liquid decreases by half.
- While the contents of the pan simmer, add pasta to the pot. They only take a few minutes to cook.
- Strain pasta.
- Add pasta, cheese, and hot sauce to the pan. Stir constantly so the pasta and shrimp get coated in the delicious sauce. Add cream and parsley just before serving.
Notes
You can add basil in addition or in place of parsley.
Feel free to add as much or as little cream as you like. My husband loves extra cream but I prefer almost no cream. Both are delicious but we all have our preferences.
Reheat instructions: Reheat on the stove. Add extra cheese and cream to prevent the sauce from splitting. You can also add more hot sauce and herbs.
